Mt. Elgon woman in specialty coffee limited (MTEWISCOF) IS A REGISTERED WOMAN OWNED COMPANY WHICH STARTED IN 2018 with REG.8002001147953,Tin 1014923969 .It was as a result of increased poverty level among women which caused domestic violence in the families and this influenced woman to join the coffee industry in order to be economically empowered.

MTEWISCOF is located in eastern Uganda, Sebei sub region, Kapchorwa district and along the slopes of Mt Elgon and within Sipi falls. MTEWISCOF is trading 100% pure Ugandan Arabica coffee which is grown on fertile soils of Mt.Elgon and high altitude area of 1700-2000 above sea level.

MTEWISCOF is working with 15 farmer groups and 250 individual coffee growers of which 239 are females and 11 are males. MTEWISCOF ensures coffee farmers grow selectively, harvest, process, and roasts and grind high quality coffee for export and for local consumption.

MTEWISCOF buys directly from farmers and ensures they get better price and that means a healthy, productive and prosperous society.  Part of MTEWISCOF surpluses vulnerably girls and woman and persons living with HIV/AIDS.
